A Designer's Game Table Specification Checklist

A practical checklist covering configuration, dimensions, material samples, access, installation and quotation boundaries for an interior design project.

Flint Cross

Model and configuration

Record the model, game type, revision date and reference image. Identify the pictured rail, leg, cloth, pocket and hardware finishes. Ask which options are available for the specific build. Treat a requested dining cover, conversion top, size change or new material as unconfirmed until accepted in writing.

Dimensions and space

Collect overall length, width and height, actual playing dimensions, clearance assumptions, weight, packed dimensions and the largest individual component. Separate the cue or player envelope from the circulation space. Include the delivery route and any floor-loading review required by the project team.

Materials and samples

Specify the material by component: visible surface, substrate, support structure and hardware. Distinguish veneer, solid wood, engineered board, glass and acrylic. Record the approved sample and colour reference, along with care requirements. Ask what drawings or digital files exist for this exact model; an unavailable CAD file should not be represented by a placeholder download.

Commercial and installation terms

Record product price and currency, deposit and payment terms, production milestones, freight, insurance, import charges, delivery endpoint, unloading and installation responsibility. Confirm levelling, assembly equipment, access appointments and the process for delivery damage. Do not infer an all-inclusive installed price from a shipping quote.

Use and warranty

State whether the table is for a private home or a hotel, club or other shared setting. Obtain written acceptance of the intended use and applicable warranty, care schedule, spare-parts availability and claim process. Residential warranty wording is not confirmation of commercial suitability.

Before sign-off

Keep the accepted quotation, revised specification, approved sample reference and delivery plan together. Resolve differences between website copy, early planning sheets and the order specification before payment. Preserve the product page link so the owner, designer and buyer are comparing the same model.
